Sumsub pricing: public plans and real cost
Sumsub publishes a usable entry-price floor for Basic and Compliance. The rate is not yet an approved-customer cost: minimum spend, billable retries, add-ons, manual handling, and the buyer’s approval rate still change the denominator.

Turn Sumsub pricing into cost per approved customer
Start with the greater of monthly minimum or modeled usage charges. Add platform and screening fees, vendor review, and internal analyst labor. Divide the total by approved customers, not submitted sessions. In kyc0’s modeled scenario (2,500 monthly applicants, 88% completion, 82% approval, 7% manual review), Basic’s $1.35 works out to $1.88 per approved customer and Compliance’s $1.85 to $2.42 — before any enterprise discount, add-on, or unused minimum.

What Sumsub's public price does not settle
- The exact event that becomes a billable verification.
- Whether failed attempts and user retries create another charge.
- Which document, biometric, screening, and proof-of-address checks are included.
- How unused minimum commitment, tiers, and overages are handled.
- Manual-review availability, triggers, unit price, and service level.
- Case, transaction-monitoring, fraud, and KYB modules required by the flow.
- Implementation, support, data retention, and termination terms.
- Country-specific coverage tested against the buyer’s actual cohort.
